With plasterboard you can change the shape of a room without bricks, wet mortar or days of waiting. False ceilings with hidden lighting, new walls, bookcases and arches go up quickly and cleanly, with straight, flawless surfaces.
Drywall construction with plasterboard is the most popular choice in home renovation today. It's light, puts no load on the slab, hides cables and pipes, and allows thermal and sound insulation inside the wall.
We build plasterboard in Ilion, Peristeri and all over Athens, in homes, offices and shops, using certified metal profiles and boards from well-known manufacturers.
Types of plasterboard and where we use them
White (standard)
For ceilings and walls in dry rooms: living room, bedrooms, hallways.
Green (moisture-resistant)
For bathrooms, kitchens and damp areas.
Pink or red (fire-resistant)
For boiler rooms, stairwells and areas that need fire protection.
Blue (acoustic)
For sound insulation between rooms, offices and apartments.
How we build with plasterboard: the steps
Measuring and design
We measure the space, mark the frame lines with a laser level and plan lighting, niches and openings with you.
Metal frame
We fix the tracks (UW) to the floor, ceiling or walls and set the studs (CW) every 40 or 60 cm. For false ceilings we hang the frame from the slab with hangers.
Cables and pipes
We run electrical cables, air-conditioning pipes and boxes for spotlights and sockets before the wall is closed.
Insulation
We fill the cavity with rock wool or glass wool for thermal and sound insulation.
Fixing the boards
We screw the boards to the frame with special screws about every 25 cm, in one or two layers, with staggered joints.
Joints and corners
Joints get paper or fibreglass tape and jointing compound. External corners get corner beads for straight, tough edges.
Filling and sanding
Two or three coats of filler and sanding, so no joints or screws show.
Primer and paint
Plasterboard primer and two coats of paint. The build is finished with no wet work and no rubble.

Plasterboard
Is a plasterboard wall strong?
Yes, when it's built on a proper metal frame. For heavy items (TV, cabinets) we add reinforcement inside the wall in advance.
Can I use plasterboard in a bathroom?
Yes, with green moisture-resistant plasterboard and proper waterproofing in the wet areas.
How much does a plasterboard false ceiling cost?
It depends on the area, the levels, hidden lighting and spotlights. We price it after measuring, or from photos and dimensions.
